I have come across your website accidentally. This is a very nice website but I think reach in internet is very poor.
I am sure that many poor people are dying everyday because of shortage of blood every day.
I wonder why people are not bothered to donate blood regularly. This is a simple but least deed one can do to save a life day.

@Oystein-Norway. English is the most coommn foreign language in Europe.The point I was making was why a standard of Icelandic was required before one could be considered to donate blood at an Icelandic blood bank. How is it other countries when a person wants to donate blood and hasn’t got the linguistic skill to fill in the required questionnaire? Would they expect to have the form available in the top 10 coommn european languages? Would they also expect a multi lingual staff available to decipher the answers?

A very great article. I was also thinking when our people have some kind of apathy towards others. many of us have now become self centered. we are least bothered about others. I personally had a bad experience, in that I lost my friend, due to non availability of blood at the time of need. i feel that govt should make it mandatory for all the youth organisations to donate blood regularly . your thoughts please…
